Detectives are continuing enquiries following a serious assault in Glasgow on Friday, 3 January, 2020.

Around 2.30pm, a 51-year-old man was walking along Netherhouse Place in Easterhouse when he was approached by a man and seriously assaulted.  The man suffered a laceration to his face and was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.  He has since been released following treatment.

The suspect is white, around 5ft. 10 inches in height, in his late 20s, with fair hair.  He was wearing dark coloured clothing and was walking a medium sized, sandy coloured dog.
Following the attack the suspect ran off towards Allnach Place.

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information.

Detective Constable John Boyd said: “This man has been walking along the street and has been attacked for no apparent reason.  I am appealing to local residents and the public for any information which could assist our inquiries.  Perhaps someone saw the suspect run off, perhaps someone recognises the description of the man and the dog.  If you have any information or knowledge regarding this crime or the suspect, please contact us.”
