One of the bhoys Sir Rod Stewart pictured in all his glory wearing the famous colours of his beloved Celtic in this retrospective picture collection down the years.
We are counting down the days now to Sir Rod’s appearance as gets set to play the Glasgow Hydro for three nights in November, supported by Johnny Mac and the Faithful a truly amazing night for any the hoops loyal.
Speaking in the media Rod says
“It was a family of football fans and as a boy, the singer and his dad watched Arsenal play.
But thanks to his dad and older brothers, Rod always supported Scotland.
He added: “I’ve never said to anybody that I’m Scottish. I didn’t grow up in Scotland but I’ve got a few pints of
Scottish blood in me that tends to outweigh everything else.
“I’m proud of my Scottish heritage. I love the country. I haven’t bought a house there yet but there’s plenty of time. My wife Penny and I talk about it. We look at Country Life and see little castles tucked away. Maybe one day.”
His love of Scotland is surpassed only by his love of the Hoops.
He and his sons have a seat for life at Parkhead.
And who can forget Rod bursting into tears when Celtic beat Barcelona in 2012?
