Two charged in connection to Barnsley burglaries

Dated: 23 August 2019 13:31:05A man and a woman will appear in court today, charged in connection to a spate of burglaries across Barnsley. On Wednesday afternoon (21 August), officers from Barnsley’s Tasking Team stopped and checked a vehicle in the Brierley area. A number of power tools and specialist entertainment equipment was found inside the car, which were reported as being stolen from several burglaries and thefts from vehicles across Barnsley from July to the morning of 20 August. The property has since been returned to the owners. Two people have since been charged in connection and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 23 August). Shane Kearford, 39, of no-fixed-address, has been charged with four counts of burglary and two counts of theft from motor vehicles. Vanda Beckett, 40, of no-fixed-address, has been charged with one count of burglary and two counts of theft from motor vehicles.
