Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart stunned locals after turning up at an Italian restaurant in Motherwell with John McLaughin singer from Johnny Mac & The Faithful.
And both paid tribute to the late Celtic player Phil O Donnell and posed at his painting on the wall. Phil died in 2007.
Celtic-mad Rod, 75, enjoyed a meal before watching his beloved Hoops at Fir Park in the town.
Restaurant bosses at Da Claudio’s said: “It’s not every day Rod Stewart drops in for a meal! Yes, it’s actually him!”
